Welcome to the Leeds Local History Portal The Local Studies Library is a department within Leeds Library and Information Service, and is located on the second floor of the Central Library, Calverley St, Leeds in West Yorkshire, England. This image shows the newly refurbished tiled hall at the Central Library in Leeds which now houses a cafe and shop. The splendour of the Hall had been hidden from the public for so long by shelves and a mezzanine floor level prior to its re-opening in June 2007. .
