Image shows an elaborate monument in Adel Churchyard. A statue of an angel is mounted on a plinth underneath a canopy supported by four columns and surrounded by railings. Words inscribed on the canopy read 'Until the day break and shadows flee away'. The monument is dedicated in the memory the memory of 'Susannah Jane, wife of James Audus Hirst, died Feb. 26th 1884 aged 33 years, also of James Audus Hirst, died Sept. 17th 1896 aged 50 years'.
